MUTUAL FUNDS : A BEGINNERS' MODULE

Mutual funds play a crucial role in channelising investor's savings. They come with a variety of forms
and features. There are over 1000 mutual fund schemes in India and growing. In the U.S. this number
stands at over 8000. There is a huge potential for growth of mutual funds in India.

This module has been prepared under NCFM with a view to educate and create awareness about the role and function of mutual funds, the different mutual funds products being offered in the markets, risk profile of different products, the advantages of investing in mutual funds. This module would be useful for investors in mutual funds and anyone wanting to know about the basics of mutual funds.

The "Mutual Funds : A Beginners' Module" test would contain 50 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. The passing percentage would be 50%. There would be no negative marking. the fees for the module would be Rs.750/- per test.
